Fennec Sport

Fennec Sport is a sportswear / lifestyle brand headquartered in France. Inspired by a small desert fox species with unusually large ears, its mission is to produce eco-friendly clothing that is both sustainable, practical and stylish.

Project scope: visual identity design, collateral, brand messaging.

During the early discussions with the client, it became clear that it made total sense to explore the distinctive brand name to its full potential. One of the first steps to achieve that was designing a memorable logo that had just enough detail to be recognized as a fennec fox, thus setting the tone for the rest of the visual identity.

   A supporting graphical element of "dynamic stripes" is derived right from the logomark, and combined with the vibrant and warm color palette, it captures the lively/joyful nature of the brand and helps to bring the visual identity to life.

I established a slogan system that was implemented in a series of posters. It is structured in a way that highlights the qualities of the brand ( [Quality] + “like a fennec”), which also overlap with the most notable traits of fennec foxes.

   The product range is split into four seasons of the year, with a corresponding visual theme for each season. Consistent usage of photography, typography, color palette and composition all give the brand a cohesive appearance.
